Compromise

Who knew that planning a wedding would take a huge amount of compromise, even with someone who's your other 75%. Well, obviously I knew that, but everyone always says, the bride does everything and the groom has no say. Not the case. It's half HIS day too. Luckily I think there is only one main category right now that we are in disagreement about: music. 

And luckily, we've got 267 days to decide on something!
Which by the way, is starting to fly by! I can't believe it's already mid-September!

For instance. 

I found a song the other night and thought, 

"oh this would be PERFECT for us to leave the ceremony to!!"

Adam thought, "it's too fast."

Well meh meh meh. 

Another instance. 

Adam insists on walking into the ceremony to something...grand. 

Like THIS.

One can only assume how the bride-to-be felt about that one. 

I guess I'm learning that not every wedding idea I have is going to pass the a-ok from my groom, and I have to be ok with that. I want it to be just as special for him as it will be for me.

And in the end, who really cares what music we use. Who's going to remember it anyways? 

We will be married and happy and that's all that matters. 

I guess you'll just have to come to our wedding to see what the final decision was!

Either way, I know it will be perfectly "Adam & Sarah."

I'm sure it will be an afternoon full of compromising and dreaming about OUR future home!

p.s.s We both recently got jobs!! Maybe we won't live in a cracker box after all! Only kidding. But God is so good, right when you need Him most.

Witty titles aren't my strong point

Here we go again, I know it's been a while since I've been on here, but I just like to build up anticipation.  As I sit here watching Tron Legacy and finishing up some homework, all I can think about is that a year from now I won't have any homework...but I'll probably be watching Tron Legacy then also.  Sarah seems to be doing a great job at keeping the interwebs updated on how our wedding planning is coming along.  Looks as if all things are coming together quite nicely.  The whole thing going through our heads right now is looking for a job.  I just want to be able to finally get out into the world and have some fun.  But I digress, this isn't a married blog (yet at least) and you don't particularly care about my job search so lets get Adam back on topic.  So roughly 274 days and 18 hours until I get married.  That's a pretty crazy fact to think about.  After going to Andy and Becca Sawyer's wedding, I got pretty excited.  Having all of my best family and friends there to just have some fun and be around will be great.  Though Sarah has shown some of the plans made so far for the wedding, believe me, there some great surprises that are going to be there.  Now to wrap up my time of blogging, let me leave you with this little bit to get you guys excited about that day next June: I have full control of my groom's cake...yes FULL CONTROL.

Free Time=Craft Time

As you probably know, I've had lots of free time on my hands lately! So, I decided I would go ahead and commence the crafting. I'm not doing any of the big things until Adam can help, which I know he's just bouncing out of his chair in anticipation for! Also, the decorations are already starting to pile up! I'm sure this pile will need to relocate, but in the meantime the dining room table is its' official home.

We're slowly picking little things up here and there so we can avoid as many last minute pick-ups as possible when the big day approaches! If you've started following me on Pinterest, you now know my secret. I'm obsessed with GREEN hydrangeas, perfectly mismatched GREY dresses, guys in precious suspenders, burlap and mason jars, and all things rustic, southern, and chic. I get more and more excited every day to implement all of our ideas, but even more excited just to be MARRIED. This long distance stuff is no fun! 

Current countdown: 289 days.

Here's my first project from this afternoon:

Here's what I started with. All from the land of milk & honey: Hobby Lobby. I saw a similar craft on a fellow blog, but wanted to put my own spin on it, so I nixed the chipboard quote part, and made our date the main focus.

The two hyphens you better believe I brought out the hand saw and sand paper. 

Hot glue may be the greatest invention when it comes to crafts!

The letters were a little difficult to keep stuck on the canvas, so I had to really be patient with them.

Okay, okay. Guilty as charged. I snapped a picture of my ring in the process. I'll admit it.

Then I took the canvas outside and spray painted it with a pretty shade of grey/nickel.

Next, I bordered the canvas with strips of burlap.

Finished product!

Project #2. Burlap covered, I.

I's are way difficult to work with I realized. Next time I'll have to get one without the top and bottom.

So it might be a little janky. But it's eclectic, right? :-)

Both projects! Off to storage they go until the big day!

This past weekend the future Mr and I headed down to Hot Springs, AR for our favorite couple's wedding- Andy & Becca, now Mr & Mrs Sawyer! The wedding was too cute for words, and it really kicked me in gear for crafting. It also kicked me in the face that I myself am getting married. Married. Married. Married. It still sounds weird!

However weird it sounds, I get more and more excited every time I say it, and more and more excited about the person I'm marrying. If I hadn't been dreaming of my perfect wedding for a countless number of years, an elopement would be on our horizon. 

It's hard to believe you've been a serious part of my life for 3 years and in 303 days you'll be a part of the rest of my life!

I found a couple more crafty things I thought were so cute!! The first I found on a blog, and the second I came across on Etsy. How cute would it be to paint a version of these on a nice big canvas??

Also, I wanted to share our wedding venues.

The Loveless Barn

The Barn looks a lot smaller in this picture than it really is. It's a gorgeous facility and perfect for a casual southern wedding reception! Plus, it's got great AC.

I'm in the middle of working on a post about my bridesmaids, so sometime soon I'll get that finished! In the meantime, back to those inspiration blogs.

Crafts, Crafts, Crafts!

Hello, hello again! I was just itching to share some of my crafty ideas that my little mind has been reeling over for the past couple months. Yes, that's right. We've been engaged for almost 2 1/2 months now! Lord willing, the next 11 will also FLY by : ) 

Well, I think my first mission is to build one of these...

Oh yes. Our very own Cornhole game set. I apologize for the terribly low quality image, but that's all Google gave me. I'm picturing nice custom painted boards with our new monogram in the middle. aIs will look quite nice I think :) I may even use this site HERE. I'm super excited for me and the future Mr to spend a weekend constructing these! Maybe it will make an appearance at our southern chic reception :)

My second project I am determined to conquer is a custom headboard. I've seen these on a few DIY blogs, and am just swooning over how cute they turn out! 

 I'm picturing either a beautiful simple beige/off white or a fun neutral pattern like this paisley! If all else fails, chocolate brown is always a winner! The future Mr might not be too keen on a girly-pattern :)

My third project I am hoping to accomplish is creating a piece of letter art with photographs. I've seen these in several boutiques and there are a few websites that make and sell them specifically, but I want to create my own! If you're confused, this is what I'm talking about.

My goal is to find a perfect I-N-G-L-E somewhere in nature/out and about/on other signs and put them all together, add a mat and a pretty frame, and voila. Maybe this will hang above my custom headboard!  I guess I should probably see about actually making these crafts before I start decorating our future house :)

On a side note- we scheduled our engagement photos!! AH! So excited. Not to mention I LOVE our photographer will all of my heart! I've pretty much adopted her as my mentor, so it was only fitting that she shoot my wedding! Check her out, she's crazy talented in so many different ways. You can find her website HERE.

Big News!!

Well everyone, after much deliberation, the future Mr. Adam Ingle and I have decided to move the date of our wedding. Check it. Mark it. Be there!

Happy 4th! (on the 5th)

The future Mr. Adam Ingle and I FINALLY got the chance to head down to Tejas to visit with my future Ingle family. This was the first time we got to see everyone since the engagement! It was fun to show off the new bling, chat about future wedding plans, and get some good baby loving in. Adam's nephews and niece are just about the CUTEST little things ever, and I absolutely can not wait to marry into this ever expanding nest! We were pumped to finally get the chance to hold sweet baby Layla-she's already 3 months! She was barely days old when we saw her last! Gah. Babies. They grow too fast!

We celebrated lots of wonderful things this weekend! Birthdays, graduation, baby-on-the-way, engagement, and the 4th!

We went swimming and Rhett showed off his pointing while simultaneously flying skills :)

Adam and I also celebrated our 3 year anniversary :) 

This little booger kept me and adam company in the back seat on the ride down and back :)
